Today we had than BTB Auction (Better Than Before.) The BTB point auction is an auction where you auction off old stuff that you don't want from home I got a grey purse That Caitlin brought in this is what it looks like:

 I also got Kade a Black purse saying "Can't Even" and a bear bag that was golden.

Swimming

Swimming

Swimming is the greatest sport in the world, there are different strokes like Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Freestyle. It is in triathlon’s as the the first event. Every lane pool needs to at least have 25 metres to hold swimming meets. Swimming can be done anywhere in the world but some places not as warm as others. On the West Coast the sea temperature is: max is 15.7*C, average is 13.8*C and the min is 12.8*C.

You should do swimming because it is a great way to get fit and healthy, you can meet new friends that can teach you new things. There are swimming meets you can enter to get ribbons and medals, then  you could qualify for Country And Town where  you can get all of of those things and trophies.

You can learn how to swim by taking swim lessons and once you finish that then you could move up to swimming clubs and that's when you can get all of those things and after that you could head to the Olympics. For training in Greymouth Swim Club for the groups 2 and down you train 3 hours a week but for the top group it’s 5 and ½ hours.

You can become a pro by practising hard and always turning up to practice working hard on your strokes and giving up other passions to get where you want to go in swimming. Millions of people do it around the world.

I hope this encourages you to go out and give swimming a try, but why are you still here when you could be swimming!

Arthur's Pass Camp Adventure

Arthur's Pass Camp Adventure

I couldn’t sleep on Tuesday night because Wednesday was school camp. When I woke up mum had already started getting ready and I was far behind her. Once I got to school Caitlin and Sinead were already playing in the rain so I went out to join them. Soon we had to go inside for the roll I sat at the back with Sammi, the parents were all standing around and leaning on the desk.

Then the bus came we were all so pumped and ready to go. Once we were allowed to get our bags and get in the bus we swarmed out of the class room and rushed to get our bags and get a good seat in the bus I was sitting beside sammi we were talking and chuckling the whole ride. On the way me and sammi started talking about getting car sick and spue then the angry bus driver said “OOY DON’T YOU TALK ABOUT THAT” After that it started snowing and sammi was really excited because she had never seen snow. We also saw lots of Icicles.

After a long hour and a bit we finally arrived in Arthur's Pass, it was freezing. Once we put all the bags on the porch we went inside to have lunch and meet logan properly. Logan always wore a red jacket, hat and black pants and glasses. Mr M left us kids alone, Silly Mr M because we went beserk, we were sliding everywhere but when they came back in again everyone acted like nothing happened.

After that we went Orienteering.  Orienteering is when you go out around the area you're in and look for white markers, then do a quiz with the answers you got. You will see who got the most correct and then see who won. My group activity group 3 came in second but in the quiz we came FIRST!!!!!!!

Awhile after that we went on a walk called Devil's punch bowl, It was so tiring but I made it because every time we stopped to talk about something on the track I got a big drink to hydrate myself. Soon we got near the waterfall platform it sounded like the ocean on a rainy day. Then Logan told us that there isn’t enough room for all of us at once so there had to be two groups, I was in group 2 with Sammi. Well we were waiting for the other group Logan taught us a game that he called the rock game me and Sammi vs each other I bet her 3 times and she bet me 1 time. Soon the other group came down, me and sammi raced up the steps. The other group got taught the rock game and my group just enjoyed the waterfall. Sammi and I took photos non stop.

The next night was camp concert,t it was amazing Me, Sammi and Caitlin came FIRST!!!!!!!

But then the day came that we had to go and no one wanted to but we all knew we couldn’t stay. Once we arrived at school everyone jumped out to see their family’s except me and my mum because my dad wasn’t there to pick us up, we all thought that he went skiing at Temple Basin but he was actually on the phone we found out because Dayna Rheas mum dropped us of what a relief.

BTB POINT AUCTION DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Today was BTB Point Auction I got 2 things one of them was a dork diaries purse that came with a badge the other thing was sign saying "DO NOT COME IN that means you annoying siblings."
The first thing to get Auctioned off was the star wars card jack got that. Sammi said that her mystery item was for boys but it wasn't it was a fair wand and a boy got that, that was lots of laughs. soon alll the items were sold and that was one of the best BTB Point Auction's Ever!!!

Spotlight

        Spotlight

It’s so wet on my stomach but the worst thing is that it’s a cold and dark night and that means that I really should have picked another hiding spot than under the car.

Oh know I hear feet stomping, first Ashton rushes past and then a few seconds later the spotter goes past and yells out “ spotlight Ashton, for the second time now!” The night goes deathly quiet, then 1,2,3. He’s started counting. Should I move  Nah, 38, 39, 40. Off he goes into the cold night in a search to find someone before we have to go inside. Again the night goes deathly quiet. Bam! What was that? I question myself I look across the concrete I see shoes that none of us kids are wearing. Oh, know it’s one of the adults and their heading towards the car. If the car moves I’m dead!!! Bam! The front door closes again. Man I hate it when that happens. Light I see a light I better be quiet or I’m spotted. Nope false Alarm  it’s just Sams phone calling my name and saying “spotlight Pippa.” But it doesn’t work on me ( this time. ) As he leaves I see a light struck my eyes. Ashton’s found, but how Sam who know this place better than he does. “Spotlight Pippa.” “yeah yeah I know.” As I start counting 1,2,3 I see something in the distance. It’s running over but it’s smaller than anyone here. Oh I know what it is it’s a here (which is sort of like a rabbit but it runs.) It’s coming closer and closer but that’s not my problem. 38,39,40. I’m finished counting I rush around the house eager to find someone. “Spotlight Harry” “dam.” “Well that’s the end of that I’m going inside I’m bored!!!!!!!!”

Monday Morning

Monday Morning.

(yr 5)

It feels like 3:00 a.m when mum pulls my blinds and tells me to get up. I don’t get up for a few minutes then mum comes in and pulls my covers up and says. “Get up and make your bed now, or I’ll be late for work.” As I get up I look if Ollie’s up and of course he is. Once I’ve made my bed and got dressed I head into the living room and find my breakfast is already made. “Thanks Ollie.” I mumble But he only just hears me.

When I’m finished my breakfast I rush down to brush my teeth and find my toothbrush already has toothpaste on it. I quickly brush my teeth and peer out the window. It’s sunny for once. When I’m finished brushing my teeth I then brush my hair and It’s so notty. Mum comes in and ties it up in a pony tail.

Then I rush down and put on my shoes but it takes ages because I always get distracted.

Finally mum comes in and tells me to hurry up. She puts my lunch box in my bag and goes off into the car. “Mum I yell I can’t find any socks!” But she can’t hear me so I look in Ollie’s room and find some socks but they have holes. I look on Sam’s side of the wardrobe and find some socks and stomp into my shoes but dad yells at me to tell me that I need to stop stomping into my new shoes.

As I get into the car I realise that I forgot my chromebook book, “oh no” i think to myself as I rush back inside to get it. Finally I’m ready and we zoom off to school.

BTB Point Auction!

Today we had the BTB point auction. I 25 points. You get BTB points if your packing up and for being on task. In the BTB point auction you can't bid more than you've got or you get your BTB points taken off you. Some people had 32 BTB points which I though was a bit unfear. When you've got no BTB points then you can't bid any more.
